Preppy Kerchief by Claire Ortega-Reyes

I'm so into kerchief lately! I just bought a lot of new fabrics for another project! But for now, I'll just do some crochet.

Row 1: Ch 4, 2 dc in 4th ch from hook (first ch-3 counts as dc here and throughout), turn (3dc)

Row 2: Ch 3, 2 dc in first dc, ch 3, 3 dc in last dc, turn (6dc)

(Always start each row with
Ch3, 2dc in first dc, ----------, ch3, 3dc in last dc, turn)

Row 3: ch 3, sc in next ch-3 sp (6dc)

Row 4: ch 3, sc in next ch-3 sp, 3 dc in next sc, sc in next ch-3 sp (9dc)

Row 5: ch 3, sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 3, sk 1 dc, sc in next dc, ch 3, sc in next ch-3 sp (6dc)

Row 6: (ch 3, sc in next ch-3 sp, 3 dc in next sc, sc in next ch-3 sp) (12 dc+++)

Row 7: ch 3, sc in next ch-3 sp, (ch 3, sk 1 dc, sc in next dc, ch 3, sc in next ch-3 sp) (6dc)

Repeat row 6 and 7 until the desired increasing (17 rows)

Picot: sc, ch3, sc

Top edging:
Sc in next 2 dc, 2 sc in next ch-3 sp, (3 dc in next sc, sc in next ch-3 sp) 15 times, sc in same ch-3 sp, sc in next 2 dc
