The Little Line That Started It All

Okay, let’s talk about Coline Tote. 😄

It looks like a pretty detailed bag, right? But here’s the funny part: it’s actually very simple to sew.

The whole idea started with one little detail, the contrast line between the SIDE PANEL and MAIN PANEL. I wanted that little line to make the tote more interesting without making the sewing more complicated.

And yes, that little line is actually how I came up with the name:

Contrast Line → Co Line → Coline

I mean… it made sense in my head. 😂

I also love that the panels give you a perfect excuse to raid your fabric stash. Print + solid? Two colors? Three colors? Go for it. You can make it match, make it colorful, or use up those fabrics that have been sitting in your stash forever. There are no fabric police here!

And the sewing itself stays nice and simple. Straight stitches only! No fancy techniques that make you stare at the instructions thinking, “Wait… what am I supposed to do here?”

Also, if you’re not a fan of printing pattern pieces, I’ve got you. Cut measurements are included too, so you can simply measure, mark, and cut directly from your fabric.

And of course, Coline isn’t just pretty to look at. You get three sizes, a front zipper pocket, back pocket, and top zipper closure, so there’s actually plenty of room to put all your stuff.

Because a cute bag that can’t hold anything? We don’t need that kind of drama. 😆

Basically, Coline is that friend who looks fancy but is surprisingly low-maintenance.

Easy to sew. Fun to customize. Definitely not boring. 😄

The Story Behind the Sania Pouch: Why It Comes in Three Sizes

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ve probably noticed that most of my patterns come in multiple sizes.

I just can’t help myself! 😄

I love giving you options because one size doesn’t always fit everyone’s needs.

The Sania Pouch, however, was supposed to be different.

Originally, I only planned to make two sizes.

The Small already fits standard cards, so making it any smaller didn’t really make sense. The Large was about as big as I wanted a keychain pouch to be. Any bigger, and we’d all just call it… a pouch. It would lose that tiny, “aww” charm.

But then I started thinking about what you might want from a mini pouch.

Maybe the Small is just a bit too small for what you usually carry. Maybe the Large gives you a little more room than you need.

There had to be a happy middle.

So…

I added a size in between.

The funny thing is, there’s only about ½–¾ inch between each size. That’s actually why I hesitated to add a third size. It didn’t seem like much.

But if you’ve ever used a mini pouch, you know that half an inch can make room for “just one more thing.” 😆

While we’re talking about little details… here’s one of my favorites.

You might notice the zipper isn’t sewn exactly on the edge. I moved it just slightly inward, and that tiny adjustment makes sewing the zipper ends much easier.

No folding the zipper ends.

No trying to hide them.

Just sew, trim, and you’re done.

Sometimes the best design choices aren’t the flashy ones. They’re the little details that quietly make sewing more enjoyable.

So… Why “Sania”?

Just like all my patterns, this one has a little story behind its name.

The snap pocket is the star of this design. It gives you quick access to the things you use most often, while the zippered compartment keeps everything else secure.

Because the snap is such an eye-catching feature, I wanted the name to include the letters S, N, and A.

That’s how Sania was born.

(Honestly, designing the pattern was easier than naming it. 🥹)

I hope the Sania Pouch becomes one of those patterns you reach for whenever you need a quick, satisfying project.

I kept wanting to make the tote bigger because a spacious bag is always tempting! But I also wanted it to keep its shape and not feel floppy. After many tests, I finally found a size and structure that felt just right: roomy enough for your daily essentials while still looking neat and polished.

The Mini Backpack That Went Viral… And You Kept Asking for the Pattern

When I uploaded my mini backpack tutorial on YouTube, I thought, “Okay, this is cute.” I didn’t expect 450,000+ views, and I definitely didn’t expect so many messages asking, “Is there a pattern for this?”

A Beginner Sewing Pattern You Can Actually Finish

Starting a new sewing project can feel… a lot.

Complicated shapes, too many steps, and that tiny voice saying, “What if I mess this up?” 🥹

If you’ve ever thought, “Maybe I’ll start sewing when I’m more confident,” you’re not alone. I hear that all the time.

That’s exactly why I made the Keyla Pouch sewing pattern.

Keyla is for true beginners. It uses only straight stitches. No curves at all. Yep, none. Hah!

The shape is a simple rectangle, so you can focus on sewing, not stressing. There are corners, of course, but they’re easy to handle with a clear step to trim the diagonal before turning.

Final version: Okay, this is it! The shape feels balanced and clean. Ready to go!

That trial and error stage is already done. The final Keyla shape is ready to sew, so you can skip wasting time and fabric and go straight to making.

The Story Behind Cuby Pouch and How It Helps You Sew Better

Cuby Pouch has a special place in my sewing journey because it’s the first pattern I created with both manual measurements and printable templates, and honestly, my customers are the reason it happened.

Before Cuby, all my patterns were template based. Then one day, I received a message from a customer who was very upset that my pattern did not include manual measurements. She was frustrated and even said it was ridiculous. I remember staring at the message thinking, “Dear, if the pattern was a simple rectangle, it would be easy to give you the measurement.” But it was not. It was a shape with curves, angles, and a bit of drama.

So when I made Cuby, I made it my mission to give options. Template? Yes. Manual measurements? Also yes. Whatever makes the sewing experience smoother for you.

And yes, I’m that person who mixes inches and centimeters in one pattern. Some parts make more sense in centimeters. Others behave better in inches. My brain switches between the two like a TV remote. So in Cuby, I included both. They’re not always perfectly matched. Five inches is 12.7 cm, but I rounded it to 13 because I respect you too much to make you deal with decimals.

And since all my pouch names have meaning, yes, Cuby comes from “cube”. Even though the shape is a little rectangular, the mini boxy look gives cute cube energy. Perfect name. Zero regrets.

Cuby may be small, but it was made with one big intention. To make sewing easier, whether you love rulers, templates, inches, centimeters, printers, or absolutely none of the above. If it makes your sewing day simpler, that’s all I care about.

Okay, confession time. I never finish a sewing pattern in one try. Never.

Every single one takes days of trial and error, fabric testing, and a few “what was I thinking?” moments before it’s ready for you.
