Accidental Spiral Slouch by AG Handmades
I got a lot of yarns for free, but I don't like the poor quality. So, I'm using those yarns to learn something new..

With 4mm hook, make 8hdc and increase until the desired size (around 64hdc perhaps)
Row 1&2: hdc around
Row 3: ch3 *fptc in 2 rows below, dc in next*
Row 4: Sl st to previous fptc, repeat row 3
(Do fptc in dc 2 rows below, directly to the left of fptc)
Repeat Row 4 until work measures 7” from the crown, then do the brim as you wish.

Create a ring.
Round 1: *3dc in ring, ch 1* 4 times for 4mm crochet hook (do even times)
Round 2: sl st in next dc, *3dc ch1 in next dc and in next ch1-space*
Round 3: sl st to ch1-space *3dc ch1, once then twice in ch1-space*
Round 4: sl st to ch1-space *3dc ch1 in each ch1-space*
Round 5-6: repeat round 3
Round 7-11: repeat round 4
Round 12: dc all around, skipping ch1-space
Round 13: sc 7 times, then sc2tog
Round 14-21: sc all around

Using 3.5mm hook, make 12dc and increase until the desired size
Hat Body:
Round 1: Ch 3 (count as the first dc) *sk 2sts, 2dc ch1 2dc, sk 2sts, dc*
Round 2-10: Ch 1, fpsc, ch 1 *in ch-1 sp, 2dc ch1 2dc. Fpdc*
Round 11: Ch 1, fpsc *hdc, sc, sl st to ch-1 space, sc, hdc, fpdc*
Ridge brim:
Round 1: Ch 1 fpsc ch1, dc, dc, 2dc *dc, dc, dc, 2dc*

Braided Crochet Headband
1. Make a hdc foundation row of 70, ch 2 and turn (does not count as a dc, here and throughout)

3. Hdc in front loop only across, ch 2 and turn
4. Hdc in back loop only across, ch 2 and turn
5. 12 Hdc in front loop only, ch 1 and make a hdc foundation row of 46 using the ch as your starting point, skip 46, 12 Hdc in front loop only, ch 2 and turn
6. Hdc in back loop only (ignoring ch 1 from previous row), ch 2 and turn
7. Hdc in front loop only, ch 2 and turn
8. Hdc in back loop only, ch 3 and turn
9. 12 Hdc in front loop only, ch 1 and make a hdc foundation row of 46 using the ch as your starting point, skip 46, 12 Hdc in front loop only, ch 2 and turn
